In reality, all else aside, the circumstances under which the photos were taken are such that a hoax would be the easiest thing in the world to expose. ("I was there. Nothing happened. I didn't see anything, and neither did anybody else.") Yet after half a century of massive publicity for the case in Brazil and elsewhere, the failure of any - not even one - knowledgeable crew member or other supposed witness to come forward to expose a silly, transparent hoax should speak volumes to all but those desperate unfortunates who cannot claim even a grain of common sense.
