It was in the year 1975 in Hinwil/ZH [Switzerland]. My parents, Kalliope and Eduard Meier, sat together in the garden of our house. It was around 9 p.m. in the evening, and hence time for me to go to bed, for I was then only 8 years old. So I obeyed my mother, reluctantly to be sure, as I truly wanted to stay outside a few minutes more because it was such a beautiful evening and the sky was full of stars.

Therefore I went to bed, but I could not sleep; so I was wide awake when Mom came into my room about a half hour later and stepped up to my bed in order to check if I was actually asleep. When she determined that this was not the case, she gave me a goodnight kiss and said, before she left the room, that I should now get to sleep.

I then endeavored to go to sleep, but somehow something still kept me awake, and with the best intentions I could not find sleep. And so about 45 minutes later I was still awake when I heard Pop say to Mom, out in front of the house, "Look there on the horizon," whereupon Mom answered, "Yes, I see it." And when Mom said that, I noticed that her voice sounded quite sad, but I could not find any reason for her sadness.

Mom and Pop's words caused me to quickly climb out of bed and hurry to the window, and there I saw it, namely a whole row of UFOs, which moved along the near horizon. Thus I could truly say, "I have seen 16 ships all at once."

Without knowing why, I became aware of an odd and peculiar feeling that I can in no way describe. I only know that to me it was very strange in spirit and for me a very thrilling, unforgettable event I would hold in my memory all my life.
